The Texas Gun Experience team, in partnership with Rick Groesch, Vice Commander of Post 14, conducted the Annual Gun Raffle drawing and announced the winner on December 15th. Our teammate and sponsor, Texas Gun Experience is at 1901 S Main St, Grapevine, TX 76051.
A Community Event with Purpose
From the archives: Texas American Legion Post 14, Southlake has been holding an annual gun raffle for the past four years. But the prize goes beyond a nice weapon and a happy winner – raffle money helps support the Post’s work in assisting veterans and veteran relief efforts, providing scholarships and Americanism training to young people in local schools, and supporting community-based programs and services and patriotic events all across Southlake throughout the year.
There was also an added layer of significance in holding the announcement at Texas Gun Experience. The long-time backer of Post 14, TGE has been asked year after year by the Legion to partner with them on raffles, and the raffles are always run professionally, safely, and in complete compliance with regulations. Their venue was a fitting location to celebrate the winners and showcase what collaborative efforts can produce at such a unique event. The TGE is a class act supplier of all firearm sport and training needs. If you haven’t done so, check them out.

Strengthening Local Ties
The success of events like the 2025 Gun Raffle is further testament to the tight bond forged between Texas Legion Post 14 and the Southlake–Grapevine community. Local involvement through ticket sales and sponsorship supports programs for our veterans and their families.
In conjunction with the announcement at the established local business and the participation of Post leadership, the event further underscored The Legion’s commitment to accountability and community. It was also an opportunity to visit and thank the supporters in person, and to celebrate the teamwork that led to the fundraising success.
