The Carroll Senior High School Student Council is joining forces with the Wounded Warrior Project and Southlake’s first responders to host the second annual Carry Forward, Feed It Forward 5K on Saturday, November 8, from 8–11 a.m. at Dragon Stadium. This event unites fitness, service, and community spirit while raising funds to support the Wounded Warrior Project and local food banks.

Runners and supporters alike can enjoy food trucks, a best-dressed competition, and other festivities throughout the morning—all for a meaningful cause. Students can earn five School Links service hours by registering online through the “Join Our Squad” link. Participants who bring a completed Thanksgiving food basket to Dragon Stadium on race day or drop it off in Room 115 at CSHS will earn an additional five service hours. Donations of non-perishable food items are also encouraged to help local families in need.

Even if you’re not lacing up for the run, you can still make a difference by donating online or contributing to the food drive. All proceeds will benefit veterans and community members facing food insecurity. For more information, contact Lindsey Jacobson at lindsey.jacobson@southlakecarroll.edu or Natalie Brown at natalie.brown@southlakecarroll.edu.

With its mix of friendly competition, community connection, and acts of service, Carroll’s 5K continues to embody the spirit of giving—an inspiring way to carry forward kindness and feed it forward in Southlake.
